Year 1 Bioblitz

On Tuesday 24th April, Year 1 were lucky enough to have the RSPB come and visit. They led a workshop called Bioblitz. This was a really exciting morning where we were able to go minibeast hunting, pond dipping and on a hunt for flowers and animal footprints around school. We found lots of minibeasts that we caught in our bug collectors and we even found a couple of newts in the pond!

Year 4 at Lea Green

On the 11th April Nightingale and Kingfisher classes went to Lea Green for 3 action packed days.  We all had a wonderful time trying out loads of different activities and, in some cases, discovering new talents.  Although the weather wasn’t particularly kind to us, we didn’t let a bit of rain spoil our fun and most of us had a go at all the activities.  The staff at Lea Green looked after us very well and the food is definitely worth a mention – it is really delicious!  Everybody returned home safely if a little more muddy and tired.
